A Quinceañera is a Latino celebration that marks the transition of a young girl entering into womanhood. Also known as a Sweet 15, the occasion is one filled with tradition and the celebration is a very important part of the Latino culture.

According to Catering Sales Manager Olivia Armstrong, the Marriott offers a huge variety of facilities and services to its guests, making the hotel the perfect place to have the celebration.

“We offer seven meeting rooms and an overall total of 71,000 square feet of meeting space,” she said.

The hotel is also one of the largest in the area for events.  The generous selection of function rooms is not all that visitors to the hotel will find there are also numerous services available that allow for families to custom design their daughters’ Quinceañera.|

“We work with area vendors to provide you with a selection of products, floral arrangements, decorations, lines and many other services,” explained Mrs. Armstrong.

And if you want to bring in your own people, that is fine too. The hotel understands that many families would like to retain their own outside selections for services. “Often there will be friends or family members that want to provide services for the event and that is fine,” said the Service Manager.

Your daughters Sweet 15 party is a very special event and the Marriott provides a unique food service to its guests that many of its clients are happy to discover. “Our chef will create any menu you want,” explained Mrs. Armstrong.

That feature alone, makes the hotel the number one choice for anyone planning an event. Most hotels in the area offer a limited menu and when you hold a function there, you have to select from that menu, a fact that doesn’t always sit well with families looking to provide a cultural and unique festive menu for their guests.  Having the ability to create a custom menu for that occassion is a huge selling point to many event planners.

Quinceañera specialized menus are only one of the features the hotel offers, there is also contemporary décor throughout the building. The space underwent a complete renovation two years ago and guests now enjoy a beautiful and up to date look.

For out of town guest, there are luxurious rooms available and on site there is also the renowned CoCo Key Water Resort. The resort offers a variety of water park fun and discounted tickets are available for your guests when they stay at the hotel.  CoCo Key Water Resort is the only indoor water park in Massauchetts.  The Courtyard by Marriott provides not only an execellent reception facility but even a place to let loose and have fun on a cloudy day in the Winter.  The CoCo Key Water Resort is also available for birthday parties and other events.

Although the hotel has many meeting rooms available for your Quinceañera, party planners are encouraged to reserve their venue early on in the planning process. Customarily, a Quinceañera can take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years to plan for and selecting the location of the party is the first step to take when planning.

According to Mrs. Armstrong, the meeting room rental fees are comparative, if not competitive with other facilities in the area price wise. Availability for booking generally depends on the time of year. Since a Quinceañera event is lined up with a girl’s birthday, there is generally more flexibility available for booking dates.
